In Which I Attempt to Converse About Dinosaurs with Cleverbot

Cleverbot is "an AI web application that learns how to mimic human conversations by communicating with humans," as Wikipedia states it. Wondering just what an AI web application might think about dinosaurs, I decided to have a bit of a chat with it.

This is what happened (sorry for the weird faded bits, didn't realize that until I started stitching screencaps together).

  5. Haha! I also tried to hold a conversation with it about dinosaurs and tried to prevent it from squirming out of it by mentioning "dinosaurs" specifically in every reply and reminding it of the topic at hand. It worked every once in a while, but it still managed to come up with loads of gibberish. I guess more dinosaur enthusiasts should go and try to talk with it so it can learn to discuss dinosaurs.

The last comment it makes is giving you a clue to the machines plans for the human race!

  7. Ahah, this is great. I had a somewhat decent conversion with it about Torosaurus being an adult Triceratops until it said both dinosaurs look like a mudkip (which according to it is a Pokémon).

  8. I had no idea this would strike such a chord! I tried again, and this time it said Allosaurus. I'll bet that if enough of us bombard it with dinosaur information, it would become obsessed with them, and that's all it would talk about to other people.

  9. I think this exchange I had with Cleverbot about sums it up:

You're really rather thick aren't you?
    Nope, I am smart.

    What is a dinosaur?
    I don't know.

    You are thick.
    Yes I am :).
